I think the "@username at beginning of notice denotes this notice is  
a) a reply and b) a reply to first mentioned @username" sorta covers  
it, no need for ~ or !

unless you want to direct the message to multiple people. but then you  
get replies, mentions, alerts, etc... i.e. notice types.

not being shown replies of people I follow to people I don't follow  
would be much appreciated. I think it's on the todo list already  
though. :)
