I've ran into this problem trying to use the iPhone LaTwit app to connect to my Laconica install hosted on Dreamhost. They run PHP as a CGI library.
Apparently there is a way around this but I've no PHP skills to figure it out. It requires modifying both .htaccess and core Laconica files. i.e. http://bit.ly/CI2M Maybe someone on this list can offer some suggestions?
