Based upon the usage that I have seen at my site so far, I am inclined to say that group directed notices should not hit the public timeline. Notices that are marked with a !group contain info pertinant to that group and likely contain information N/A to the general populace. People should be free to view group postings in the group section, I just think that they clutter up the public feed (and perhaps even one's personal feed).

I understand that this idea of preventing notices from hitting the public feed may not jive with the usual public laconica installation, but in my enterprise installation it makes sense. I'd like to see what you all think about the matter, however, before I diverge from vanilla laconica even more :)
