The nice thing is that both ActiveMQ and RabbitMQ support STOMP (Rabbit
with a plugin, but still), so we can switch back and forth if we want.
My experience with ActiveMQ has been that it's a pain in the butt to set
up and configure, so I'd like our software to work for both.

So, I've gotten started on a Comet plugin, which seems to be working OK.
I'll push it to dev once it's finished, later this weekend.
