There have been a lot of important bugs fixed since the 0.8.0 release (I
ran across yet another today). Identica/mainline is even cherry picking
commits from 0.8.x to the identica live site to fix issues.

I think there should be a 0.8.1 laconica release soon (as in, within a few
days). Increasingly, the answer to mailing list queries is "run 0.8.x" and
the answer to tickets is "fixed in 0.8.x." I think it's a bad habit to get
into, telling server operators to run non-versioned software, and not
fixing issues our users are reporting.

Thoughts?
