There have been a lot of important bugs fixed since the 0.8.0 release (I

I think there should be a 0.8.1 laconica release soon (as in, within a few
days). Increasingly, the answer to mailing list queries is "run 0.8.x" and
the answer to tickets is "fixed in 0.8.x." I think it's a bad habit to get
into, telling server operators to run non-versioned software, and not
fixing issues our users are reporting.
Thoughts?
Agreed. Here's how I'd like to proceed:
1) Cut our current software in 0.8.x over to testing (that's what it's for).
2) Start testing it (duh).
3) If there are fixes needed, push them to 0.8.x.
4) Once everything's stablish, push it all to master and tag a new release.
Sound good?
