I think we should cut our losses and move on. The project sees about 200 edits per month <https://stats.wikimedia.org/#/pl.wikinews.org/contributing/edits/normal|bar|2-year|~total|monthly>, and the majority of the top edited pages <https://stats.wikimedia.org/#/pl.wikinews.org/contributing/top-edited-pages/normal|table|last-month|~total|monthly> from last month was on recent deaths, all one-sentence pieces -- like this one <https://pl.wikinews.org/wiki/Piotr_Machalica_nie_%C5%BCyje>. Sorry, I may be a bit biased here because I believe Wikinews is a failed project in its entirety, but in any case we would be right to expect a level of activity from its editions that exceeds what we would expect from other projects that can actually afford to be dormant.
