I have no problem with such a decision per se. However, I'd say in order to make it, the decision at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_closing_projects/Closure_of_Polish_Wikinews should be revived first (feel free to do so!). The last comments there were in May 2020, against the closure, and a closure now would come out of the blue and feel unfair to me, especially since the project is still active (still = it was also claimed to be active in May 2020). In this month, 15 new articles have already been written, and that might be a low number - I don't know about how many articles "active" Wikinewses get - but it's still more than one per day.
