Thanks for previous feedback on my comments.
While reviewing the final version of my wife's book, I
paid more attention to things which could be added to
at least the US English spelling list.
These are more examples with accent marks which
are OK in US English.
decor with accent
nuance with accent
cliche with accent
These we think are spelled correctly. We waffled on
a few of these but using online dictionaries,
decided the listed form is acceptable.
texting
texted
self-conscious
check-in
pissy
low-cut
knee-length
convsersive
reposition
They are likely also acceptable in UK English but
I will leave that to you all to decide.
Following up on this, is there a way to add words
to a personal dictionary using the Java GUI front end?
I would like to add character names from her book
to it. That would eliminate a lot of false positives in
our case.
