Microsoft Word was missing from the Windows Firewall rules. I added MS Word to
the list of programs, but I still got the error messages.

I don't know the cause of the problem. Perhaps there is some security
constraint that prevents access to the Internet from MS Word. In MS Word
Options > Trust Center, I don't see anything that seems relevant. A firewall
setting?
I have added a more verbose output for the exception.[1] Could you send me a
screenshot of the error message now?
