This document can provide ideas for new English rules:
"Misused English words and expressions in EU publications" [1]
Some rules should be quite straightforward:
* with the aim to (do) > with the aim of (doing)
* competences > powers, jurisdiction
* Concerning.../ For what concerns... > with regard to, in respect of, in
terms of [or eliminate]
Some seem already implemented:
* allow to take > make it possible to take, allow us to take
Others will cause probably false alarms, if they are not implemented
carefully:
* assist at > attend, be present at
