Hi all,

After installing solaris 10 U3 (11/06) on a laptop dell latitude d820, the
system goes into a panic and immediately reboots itself.

Booting the kernel under kmdb (-kdv) and doing a ::msgbuf (it was impossible to
see the error message other way) I was able to see some ACPI related calls
before the panic.
Unfortunately I don't know how to save this error message in order for me to
paste it here. There doesn't even seem to be a filesystem available to dump to
when the panic happens.

The only way I was able to boot the laptop was disabling ACPI: "-B
acpi-user-options=0x2" under GRUB. I even tried 0x8 and 0x4 with no success.

How can I finally solve this problem? I thought by this time Solaris 10 ACPI
was robust enough to be installed and used on laptops.
Is there any workaround other than disabling ACPI? I'd really like to have ACPI
functionality on my laptop.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Max
