I'm new to manually mounting removable media :-)

Any idea which device I should try manually if not the one I tried?

Note that this combo mounts automatically in S10 Update 3 on the
same machine.

Now if I unplug the Hagiwara, move the CF card to a SanDisk CF
to PCCard adapter and plug that in, prtconf -D shows the pcata
driver attached but again no automatic mounting.  The console
window has some messages:
