I'm not close to an OpenSolaris system right now so some of the following may be inaccurate. kdmconfig was for Sun's old Xserver which is EOL and probably not included in OpenSolaris. It probably only has Xorg's Xserver (Solaris 10 includes both Xservers). See if the Xorg log file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) contains any hints of what is wrong. Edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf to correct any problems. Bernie
