Hmm... it should have picked up on the pci1260,3873 compatible name, without needing to add another alias for it. Try doing "devfsadm -i pcwl" I seem to recall that there is "magic" in the ACPI code which Solaris lacks, which may mean that we cannot easily enable this device. I certainly recall that there was difficulty in getting a Solaris x86 port of my SPARC driver (for other Tadpole hardware) working on that platform. -- Garrett > > Thanks, > Jeff > > > /etc/driver_aliases addition > > pcwl "pci144f,7000" > > > Prtconf says this for the wireless card > > Node 0x1e3440 > assigned-addresses: > c2021010.00000000.f0000000.00000000.00001000 > class-code: 00028000 > compatible: 'pci1260,3873.144f.7000.1' + > 'pci1260,3873.144f.7000' + 'pci144f,7000' + 'pci1260,3873.1 > ' + 'pci1260,3873' + 'pciclass,028000' + 'pciclass,0280' > device-id: 00003873 > devsel-speed: 00000001 > fast-back-to-back: > interrupts: 00000001 > max-latency: 00000000 > min-grant: 00000000 > model: 'PCI: 1260,3873.144f.7000.1 - Network controller' > name: 'pci144f,7000' > power-consumption: 00000001.00000001 > reg: > 00021000.00000000.00000000.00000000.00000000.42021010.00000000.00000000.00000000.00001000 > > > revision-id: 00000001 > slot: 00000000 > subsystem-id: 00007000 > subsystem-vendor-id: 0000144f > unit-address: '2' > vendor-id: 00001260 > _______________________________________________ > laptop-discuss mailing list > laptop-discuss at opensolaris.org
