You will need a 64 bit ndiscvt binary to convert a 64 bit driver into
a 64 bit source file.

The Ferrari 4000?  Yes, it's fan is an issue.

That's also a function of ATI, I believe.  Unless there's a generic
way to "reset display as X left it when resuming" in Xorg.
