What sort of device is this?   The scroll areas on most touchpads will
require changing the mouse driver to recognize - Casper's done this
for the touchpads in the Ferraris, but I haven't had a chance to
integrate into the Xorg mouse driver we ship yet.

If it's something other than setting aside a region of the touchpad as
a scroll area, then I don't know.   If there's Linux or BSD support for
the device, we'd have to see what they had to do to support it.
