yes indeed, that makes a difference: 1--11: works fine 12--13: does not work Is this a known issue with the driver? Unfortunately, in this location, I'd chosen ch 13 specifically to avoid clashing with the other networks nearby. Wikipedia - if it is to be believed - suggests that 1--11 is the valid range in the US, but here in the UK it's 1--13, and indeed all my other devices work fine at ch13. [as an aside, I also tried ch14, which is not in the UK band, and that worked with everything else except my macbook :)] Any idea why I seem to be limited to channels 1--13, please? regardless, this is good progress, thanks much indeed. cheers, calum.
