I took out the hack that pretended that dhtml was a swf runtime. It isn't. I guess there is more crap to root out. It would be sad to have to put the hack back.
The speed is just r1049. Henry knows as well as I that the mechanism for adding a new runtime is messy and we just try to make it a little cleaner each time. Clearly some of my clean up uncovered some baling wire and twine...
