I noticed the solo-deploy.zip is being stored in C:\Program Files\OpenLaszlo Server 4.0b1rc1\Server\lps-4.0b1rc1\lps\admin\. I guess that would explain the contents of the zip file.

It seems sensible to me - why not time/datestamp each file? Developers may want to keep multiple SOLO versions anyway...

Our QA person got her machine into a state which is what you described, of
files not getting into the
zip archive. Maybe I had better try creating a new unique filename for the
zip archive each time instead of
trying to reuse the file, maybe the file I/O calls are getting screwed up
with stale directory information cached
someplace in the Java VM?

I have openlaszlo-3.3.3 and openlaszlo-4.0 as separate running webapps in
tomcat server.

But I'm fairly sure the problem is in openlaszlo-4.0 (beta1) since the
text file which coexisted
with copy-of-hello.lzx was produced only in that webapp.

I'll apply some more tests to pin it down.
