My doubt is if spend my energies in learning flex or openlaszlo.
I usually develop with ruby on rails and grails.
Obviously we would like you to use OpenLaszlo. Here are a few reasons
why you should consider OpenLaszlo:
While it is a smaller community, we think that makes us more nimble.
Active contributors are encouraged, and we have a number of community
members who have full commit privileges.
Although the Flash 10 player is available on many platforms, it is not
available everywhere. OpenLaszlo can be compiled to Flash 8, 9, or
10, and also to DHTML (i.e., runs natively in any DOM2/CSS2.1 browser).
Both Flex and OpenLaszlo allow you to create a richer user experience
than server-based technologies such as PHP or Rails. OpenLaszlo has
been used as a user interface to Java-, PHP-, and Rails-based servers
using XML, RPC, or JSON. It does not require a proprietary server
technology.
We hope you will join us!
