There is a flag you can set on the canvas or from the URL <canvas proxied="false">
or yourapp.lzx?lzproxied=false which will tell the app not to talk to the default proxy server, and to instead try to make data and media requests directly. In DHTML, all media requests are unproxied I believe. But XML data requests will follow the proxied flag setting.
