The viewport setting I posted here is the one I used for the Android
2.1/Android 2.2 browser. Without that, the canvas reported a wrong
width/height value for me. In my case, the application was loaded into a
PhoneGap based Android app.

For Ripple, did you try to set the DPI level of the device?
