I'm having a little trouble converting a document which exists as a set
of multiple files. Each file constitutes an individual chapter of a
book. I have set the segmented flag in latex2html, so it finds
everything just fine. My problem is that I get a duplication of the
leading portions of some of the chapters with multiple entries in the
table of contents, as seen below.

<LI><A NAME="tex2html68"

I'm afraid that I know nothing about perl and this is the first time
I've ever used latex2html. I don't even know where to begin to look
for the problem. Any recommendations are welcome.
