I don't recall we ever settled on anything. If I recall the discussion, there were also arguments for having feature squad be responsible for it as a huge chunk of the stuff we are deploying comes from them. I don't think I would want to put any label to such activity. We want to get to the point where any interested developers can do one. It is high-friction enough today for LOSA that we don't want to do these several times a day. I think it's kind of natural for maintenance squad who work on multiple critical bug fixes to have a stake in doing a NDT release (to get the fixes out to users). But I think, that it wouldn't be unusual for a feature-squad to have an interest in one either (when they want the code to be live for the forthnightly feature checkpoint for example). -- Francis J.
