Yep, I am. I'm going to see if I get a whole run to pass through it before I propose something, and also see whether it's any better. tmpfs helps bzr's test suite a lot, and I believe that ec2 local disks are said to be unusually slow. For reference the tests currently take about 4h30m. To make up for it, pulling packages from the AWS Ubuntu mirror is astonishingly faster at ~25 megabytes/second.
