I'm generally OK with something like this, but it might be wiser to pick 
something a bit more frequent, perhaps four or six times a day.  That would 
have the effect of spacing repacks out through the (working) day rather than 
clustering them all at a particular time.

A habit I picked up from somebody years ago was to select the minute part of a 
cron job either randomly, or by looking at the clock when selecting it and 
picking the minute part of the current time; the point of this is to try to 
avoid the effect where all the regular jobs on a system tend to happen on the 
hour, producing spiky load patterns.
