Hi there, Just starting to read the PPAQuickStart wiki page, I discovered that both on that page and in the PPA terms of service, it's necessary for one of the licenses listed on http://opensource.org/licenses/category to apply to the package.
What is the position for packages which contain material which is distributed under licenses which aren't in that list but which are still free? For example, the ubuntu-docs package in Ubuntu is licensed partly under GPL and partly under a Creative Commons (by-sa) license [1] and I think other documentation related packages will frequently contain material licensed under the GFDL. Although the opensource.org website itself appears to be licensed under a Creative Commons (attribution) license, no Creative Commons licenses appear in the list, nor does the GFDL. Obviously, uploading such packages to a PPA would put me in breach of the terms of conditions, which I'd rather not do.
