I on the other hand prefer mailing lists. I don't want to
login to a news server every day to follow all the communication
and to wade through a long lists of unrelated posts.

Just the way a mailing list works accommodates my needs.
Info-LabVIEW has never really been spammed in the past thanks
to its outstanding maintainer Tom, a strict subscription policy,
and all those fine folks being part of this list. I hope this
continues in the future.

If you want NNTP you can go to comp.lang.labview. Otherwise
Info-LabVIEW is the place to be and I prefer the last one.
Why setup yet another news service for LabVIEW which will
either have to be seriously moderated or get drown in all
sorts of spam and unrelated posts, including sex pill adds
and heavy flame wars. Moderating a news service however
seems almost like a full time job to me so chances are fat,
that it soon is fades away or gets opened up to unmoderated
operation and all its negative by-effects.

Again why this? Do you want to just mirror the discussion
on Info-LabVIEW on that? Or compete with comp.lang.labview?
The first might have some use but the second will be doomed
for sure as a lot of professional people can't afford to
monitor both comp.lang.labview AND Info-LabVIEW, not to
mention yet another news service.
