Hi Linda :)
Here's the biggest problem with their defense to me common sense will
tell anyone they are trying to make up a defense since they don't
really have one. First Reco confessed to his friends, and now he's
trying to accuse one of them he confessed to as the killer. Not a smart
move IMHO. Second his lawyer is saying it wasn't Reco, okay if it wasn't
Reco why did he have his shoes and clothes burned? And why was there
blood on them? Why did Reco jump out the window and try to run when he
was caught? So far all I see coming from the defense side is they are
representing a guilty man, I can understand a person becoming enraged
and killing a boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse but I can not feel anything
but pure anger at someone who kills children, and he killed 4 little
kids! Those kids did nothing they were only 5 and three. And according
to the evidence two of the children tried to get away, that is horrific
to think of, these little babies running from him with a knife. I know
I'm not supposed to make a decision on guilt or innocence until all the
facts are in, but in this case it's a pretty simple one to me, she
dropped him he got mad and killed her, her children and the nephew and
niece.
Today they showed the crime scene photo's, a rather hard and emotional
day for all involved. At least I thought so, the crime scene pictures
were so horrific that the DA only introduced two of them out of all of
them they had. From my understanding this case was very hard on LEO's,
one of them had to take a 30 day leave after seeing the crime scene.
Others knew the victims and such. This is one of the most emotional
cases I have seen in a long while, I must admit I did like Reco's mother
when she testified yesterday, she earned my respect, I don't know if I
could do as she did and testify against my own son, but I felt she knew
she was doing right by telling the truth. It could have been so easy for
her to lie and say he was home, yet she didn't and I respect her for
that. And I only hope I'm never in the position she was in, I'm sure
it's torn her apart.
