Hi Terry:
I doubt that Reagan had an affair after he got together with Nancy. Not
just because he really loves the woman, but because Nancy would kill
him, literally. :) Carter was upset because he "lusted in his mind".
So an affair would definitely be out for him.
As for Nixon, I never heard anything about an affair he had, but then
again I never heard he beat Pat either, until lately. That of course
cannot be proved one way or the other since all parties are dead. Which
makes it very lucky for the guy who says it happened.
Truman I know nothing about, but Bess wasn't exactly the kind of woman
who would have put up with anything like that either, I don't think.
As for Eisenhower, I could understand why he would have one, if he did.
It was war time, they were a long way from home, and no one knew if they
were going to be alive the next day, much less a week or month later.
Things like that happen. As to whether or not it happened, I don't
know, and I really don't care if it did or not. Besides he wasn't
President then, he was only a General.
You are right people like to believe gossip. But usually where there is
smoke there is at least a spark, and sometimes flames. And morals have
changed.

Two rules in life:
1. Don't tell people everything you know.
