Professor Richard Lacy who was the governments top advisor was fired from his position because he was releasing accurate information and the government wanted to have full control of information. CJD has been confirmed in 14 species so far and there is information coming out to say that people who dont die from CJD but carry the prion, can give the infection to there offspring and that is a real worry. Professor Lacy is working on an autobiography and is continuing his research independently.
