And lest Steve get further confused, in spite of the propensity of some
people to make it more complicated for the purpose of appearing
intellectual, in the US the Republicans are generally referred to as
conservatives and the Democrats as liberals. Both parties have several
excellent legislators who are moderates. Most, if not all of the tough
issues are decided by the moderates, IMO.
