Because I use a dozen -d flags as needed and set the parts as needed. You know, when you add a -d flag you have to compile a part clean, because FPC does not. This would easily result in 50 profiles. And I work on five different machines. A TCheckListbox would help me, where I can add options and turn them on if needed.
