:-) I do the reverse. My real system is up to date (mostly with LTS
versions of Ubuntu) and VM's with older distros, exotic OSes or
Windows.
setup a VM with the latest version out of the box is easy and takes
almost no time. The real machines are configured for their task.
Upgrading those means work and time. And the latter I want to spend on
more fun things.
