Yes, it is not maintained anymore.

You could try fixes_0_9_30. It's currently prepared for new release so it
might be more stable than trunk and it's definitly better than fixes_0_9_28.
You could also use the provided snapshots that include FPC 2.4.2 as well
(they are named 0.9.29 currently, trunk is now 0.9.31). They are provided
here: ftp://ftp.freepascal.org/pub/lazarus/snapshots/
