Free Pascal Compiler version 2.6.1 [2012/02/29] for x86_64
Please update your fpc.
To quote you... "This release has been built with fpc 2.6.0 "
So I would have expected any FPC 2.6.1 revision (any fixes revision
after FPC 2.6.0 release) should be able to build the Lazarus code too.
On a side note:
I just updated to FPC 2.6.1 r22001 and now 'make bigide' does work.
But then still means your original announcement was incorrect - you
can't build Lazarus rc1 with 2.6.0, you must use the latest 2.6.1.
Correct?
No. Lazarus does build with 2.6.0. But it does not build with a 2.6.1
that is not the newest. That's like Lazarus only officially supporting
the youngest 2.7.1 revision instead of some revisions between the branch
of 2.6.0 and head of 2.7.1.
Regards,
Sven
