With the Afrikaans language it is the same. Afrikaans text is
somewhere between 20-50% longer than English text. One really should
file it as a bug report in LCL because today's GUI toolkits really
should adjust dynamically to text and dpi settings. Native GTK2 apps
does this already, but LCL-GTK2 just doesn't seem to use that feature.
That is where Java trumps most GUI toolkits because it has excellent
layout managers which makes sure text doesn't clip.
