I grew up fully bilingual. Mother was English, Father was Afrikaans. I went to a Afrikaans school (thou had extra subjects in English), my after school studies were in English. Eng & Afr friends are about 50/50. I think English is so damn hard and confusing because it has been spoken for so long and has changed from century to century.
