I agree. The lazarus IDE Interface is much better than the Tools API.It can use still some extensions, but the basic design is a lot easier and better than the tools API.
If you absolutely need the Tools API, just make it a 'glue' layer. But I think efforts can be better spent elsewhere. Michael.
