No form resizing issues with Lazarus 1.7 r51739 FPC 3.0.0 using
win32/gtk2 widgets on Windows 7.
Can you reproduce it with a new & clean application?

To be clear: if I grab the edge of a running form, I can not make the
form smaller at all.
