Eclipse is easy to bash indeed :)

Instead, people using Lazarus
should acknowledge that their product is better and wonder why almost
no ones knows about it

Just type lazarus in google ... Anyways, I guess anybody with _real_ knowledge about development tools knows about it and about the power of pascal based rads.

and everyone knows about Eclipse?

Because of a lot of marketing by big companies?

Indeed, I've worked in eclipse for some time(school project with java), also with it's SUPPOSEDLY RAD features. There are some plugins to work with gui click-style but none of them work. The entire GUI is very limited bloated and slow. Even gtk1 is a masterpiece compared to swing. Oh and those plugins crashed on me all the time.

It seems Eclipse is popular, and I have tried it a couple of times to see what all the fuss is about, but I could never figure out where all the RAD features are or how you add them on. There are no component toolbars or menus. To me it looks like it is and was designed as just an IDE package without being RAD. Lazarus is fine the way it is.
