I would like to add a thing on how Lazarus could be more promoted throughout
the pascal "community". This is something I have posed some time ago
already, but unfortunately nobody noticed.
Although the lazarus ccr site is there for good purposes, I have never
understood why components are placed on that site. I mean they can stay
there for all I care, but why don't we team up with Torry or DSP or others.
When Lazarus will get an entry on those pages, all Delphi programmers will
be confronted with Lazarus more frequently. People will be encouraged to
publish lazarus components more frequently. I would even like to suggest of
converting the lazarus ccr site to something more similar to torry's. The
same applies to FPC components ofcourse.
Another thing is the the website of lazarus / FPC and ccr (as mentioned by
others). Why not make one nice entry page where you can jump to the
information you need. If Lazarus is considered not to be stable enough yet,
put a note telling so.
