OK. I forgot, that it only looks at the LANG environment variable, if
the language setting is Automatic. Maybe you already had this changed to
one of the Russian entries in the list.
Anyway, good that you have it working now.
As a Western European, I have little knowledge about the different
requirement for character sets (Ansi almost good enough for Dutch). Can
you tell me, why UTF8 is not an option for you?
I just set the language to ruutf8 on my computer and show menus have
wrong captions, but the caption of the IDE and the caption of OI and
source editor look ok. Maybe the menu captions have a wrong encoding?
