is a truth that the installer for every platform is small and easy to download rather than a 200MB file in my opinion one installer (without the IDE) that merges the new libraries for an specified platform would be great.
imagine something like this i am running windows XP and download Lazarus for Win32 but i want to compile Linux Projects and also for MacOSX it should be great if there were some instalers like lazarus-dev-win32-136-linux.exe lazarus-dev-win32-136-macos.exe that after being installed allow you to compile for those platforms... What platform did you have in mind? All 10-15 available ones? Should it include the binutils and the compiled units? Are you ready for 200 MB or more installer? Would you still be happy with it, if it wouldn't work because of the missing libraries for all the targets?
