My situation is typical. I have typical and almost small project (658 lines to compile). And it takes Lazarus 111 sec. to compile this 658 lines! So it goes like 6 lines per second! :-) Extremely fast on my Pentium 2.8GHz with 2GB RAM!
This is on Windows, right} It´s very strange that it takes all that time. On my computer compilation is much faster. And on Linux almost instantaneous, and even for medium sized projects, with about 10.000 lines of code of my own. Try recompiling Lazarus. Maybe your LCL is smartlinking, I don´t know. Also see this wiki page: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/File_size_and_smartlinking Compiling the Virtual Magnifying Glass, a project much bigger then yours, it never took more then 45 seconds even in the worse possible scenario. -- Felipe Monteiro de Carvalho _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject archives at http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/mailarchives
