This is pure speculation. This is not the case on Vista, and I don´t
think we should waste time trying to imagine what Microsoft will do

This can be either true or false, and I really don´t care either way.
But I also won´t waste time now on something that isn´t yet reality
when we have so many more real things to worry about (like adding more
PDA platforms, 64 bit development, Unicode, web development, etc,

The reality is that current developers are busy working on other things
If you have ulter need for .NET I suggest you contribute patches. =)
We are not a juggernaugth enterprise. If .NET becomes indispensable in
the future there will be people interrested in implementing it
quickly. See, it´s just a question of resources. I like the current
roadmap and I´m commiting resources (my time), to improve Lazarus.
If you think we should change direction, please commit resources too.
Otherwise I cannot imagine why I would work for free on arbitrary
terms set by you.
