I have a port of my original Unix serial unit (the one which has been
included in FPC years ago) for Windows; it has even are more OOP-like
interface (in addition to the old Linux-style one). It isn't committed
yet, as I wanted to backport the OOP stuff to Linux/Unix as well; but
when you are interested, I can send you the source via mail. It's
working perfectly for over a year now. But be beware that it works
strictly synchronous, i.e. when using it in Lazarus you would have to
use a receive thread.
