Hi, >I acquired the Kodak Q-60 target with a scanner, and I calculated the ICC-profile. >In the progress section I found this words:"Gamut hull: 187 inside,0 outside, 77 on >boundaries. What does it mean?
The gamut hull is the solid conformed by a 3D cloud from all patches. In your case, 187 patches lays inside this solid, and 77 on the solid surface. Obviously none is outside. This is a debug information. You can ignore it. >There was also the calculated gamma for Red,Green and Blue but when I calculated the >profile of a Corel target >acquired with a camera it didn't appear. Does it depend on target or sometime lcms isn't able to calculate gamma? It means the profiler isn't able to fit linearization curves as a pure exponential. It may be a indication of wrong profiling. I would recommend to give a try to new profiler instead: http://www.littlecms.com/lcms_profiler_beta2.exe Please note that old profiler is *discontinued* and will be deleted from site soon.
