Hi,

My name Is Marti. :-) Many people got confused because my family name
is "Maria". In spanish (catalan in my case) Maria is same as "Mary", so this
has been a source of very funny mistakes since I was a kid.

Of course bug reports are very helpful. The profiler is far more complex that
anything I've post here, so there are still bugs and probably they will remain
for a while. I am still trying to figure out what makes the profiler chrash
in some machines and work well in others. But anyway, I prefer to better
the profile generation first and leave the UI for final fine tuning.

The next beta will include Eye-One support for monitor calibration
and Lab gamut viewer.

What about the quality of obtained profiles? does they work for you?

Regards,
Marti.

Hi ... Marti ? Maria ? What's the first name ??? :-)

If you don't like to receive bug reports in this way, please ignore this
message and forgive me ...

I installed the new beta profiler and discovered it frequently crashes just
after pressing the "Ok, create profile" button. I tried with the image and
target definitions that came with the installation as long as other images
and/or targets. I tried both on a WinXP-SP1 machine and on a Win2K-SP4
machine. I tried several times and about half the times it crashed and half
succeeded, with almost identical input data.

I noticed also some user interface problem, expecially with the scrollbars
...

If you need other info don't hesitate to ask me.

I also have a question: in the new profiler you can view the device/target
(?) gamut by right-clicking on the window showing the measured mean RGB
values, but ... how can you display a gamut by means of the RGB values only
? At that time the application is not aware of the corresponding Lab values
...

Bye, Nicola.
